Omega Juicer – A Cold Press Juicer

The Art of Juicing: Finding the Right Technique for Optimal Health

Juicing is the process of extracting juice from fruits and vegetables by grinding, squeezing, or pressing them. It’s our present day practice of pressing fresh fruits to quickly access their nutrients. By the 1990s, juicing became a trend, currently juice shops are popular, and restaurants have offered fresh juice as a choice.

A cold press juicer is a type of juicer that slowly crushes and squeezes produce, avoiding heat and speed that can destroy nutrients. This method of juicing is also known as masticating. Cold press juicers are quieter than their centrifugal counterparts and produce juice with more fiber, vitamins, and minerals. This type of juicer is recommended to preserve the nutrients that are beneficial to our body. Juicing is also recommended for people who have a digestive problem and need a low fiber diet.

Juicing Demystified: Weighing the Pros and Cons

  • Drink juice as your first meal of the day if tolerated.
  • Chew your juices, juices rapidly assimilate, so swishing them around your mouth before swallowing allows the digestion process to begin by mixing the juice with saliva.
  • Add some lemon and/or lime juice. These fruits are natural antiseptics and may help cleanse the digestive tract.
  • Do not let juice sit around. Juice only what you will drink right away, to prevent bacteria growth, and juice becomes more sugary sitting around.
  • Prevent oxidation, it’s important to store fresh juice in a cool environment, shield it from direct sunlight, and drink it as soon as possible after juicing. Oxidation can deteriorate the taste, color, and nutritional content of fresh juice.
  • Do not overload with drinking too much, fresh juice has nitric oxide which expands your blood vessels and lower blood pressure.
  • Watch the number of calories and sugar in your fresh juice.

    • Hello Mashsud, thank you for reading my post.  I own an omega juicer, I bought it because the brand is durable and they been in the business for awhile, i dont have any experience with it breaking down yet.
Omega is one of the leading brands in juicing, with a history of over 60 years.  It claims to be pioneer in low speed masticating juicers, which extract more nutrients and enzymes from fruits and vegetables than high speed centrifugal juicers. Hope that helps.
